Concho Valley Council—College of Commissioner Science
February 7, 2009, Concho Valley Council began its very own College of Commissioner Science at beautiful Camp Fawcett.  We had 21 students in the Bachelor’s course of study, 1 in the Master's study and 1 receiving the Doctorate of Commissioner Science.  Instructors were Dan Anderson, Frank Berthold, Shawna Blanchard, Tilden Stewart and Tammy Vercher.   The Friday night before the college: Basic Commissioner Training was conducted by Dan Anderson, Frank Berthold, Mike Neary and Chris Snow.  Cooking was done by Mike Wallace with help from members of Crew 332.  We had a wonderful time together as we exchanged knowledge and discussed the future of Commissioner Service in the Concho Valley Council.  Please mark your calendars for the first Saturday in February 2010 and plan to attend the College of Commissioner Science at Camp Sol Mayer.  In 2011 we will be back down at Camp Fawcett with another college.  We are considering other options with will benefit every area of our council.  We will switch between the two camps each year.  If you are interested in serving as a Commissioner in the Concho Valley Council, please contact you district Commissioner or our Council Commissioner (Dan Anderson).  You can also call the Council office or contact your District Executive.  The Commissioner Corp in the Concho Valley Council is growing, but we are in need of more Commissioners who are trained for service.  2010 is developing into a promising year for Concho Valley Council College of Commissioner Science.  Jump on board and become a part of this exciting area of Commissioner Service
.

Yours In Scouting,
Frank Berthold, Training Commissioner
