ROUNDTABLE - We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month (check council's calendar to verify as there are exceptions) at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church on College Hills Blvd at 7:00. Kids are welcome. There is a monthly theme that is presented to be used by the packs the following month. Please come and get new ideas and share
any ideas that you have with the group. We challenge each scouter/parent who comes to Roundtable
to BRING A FRIEND.
DAY CAMP - We will be having our annual Cub Scout Day Camp this July 15, 16 & 17. We are needing volunteers for all areas (activities, crafts, den leaders, etc). Our theme this summer will be Scouting Around the World. Please contact Diane Ditmore if you are interested in helping. Home number is

TRAINING - February the 21st New Leader Training is designed to provide an overview of the entire Scouting program and how each component of the program works into the next. Basic Leader Training gives new leaders the tools necessary to provide a quality, fun-filled program that helps Scouts easily graduate through the ranks quickly
while having fun. It begins with Fast Start Training, continues
through New Leader Essentials, and is followed by Leader Specific training tailored for each adult’s role in the unit.
The Amangi Trail District 2008 Volunteer Recognition Banquet highlights and high points. - We celebrated the accomplishments and honored our scout leaders at our banquet on Saturday night at the First United Methodist Church. First up was Frank Berthold who lead us in the blessing of our food (a scout is reverent).
Mike and Sarabeth Erickson provided us with one of the best chicken and beef fajita dinner in town, well at least that Saturday night at the First United Methodist Church. The 2008 Eagle scouts gave us a first class opening ceremony. Mike Erikson awarded Charles Farmer, Mike Wallace, C J Wallace, Wynn Alston the Unsung Hero award for all hard work they do for our District. Mike and Sarabeth awarded the Trail Blazer Awards
to Bill
Petrazzuolo – Scoutmaster of Troop 20 Nathan Simpson – Chartered Organization Representative Troop 20, and District Membership Chairman Daina Schwartz. The District Award of Merit is the highest honor that the district can bestow upon a volunteer. The District Award of Merit recipients are Charles Ditmore and Diane Ditmore.
