Good Turn for America

Every year our Scouts assist in numerous projects in and out of the Concho Valley Council; however many hours go uncounted and unreported. This year, as leaders we must insure that our boys are given the appreci-ation and credit they deserve. If you have not yet set up your Units account on "The Good Turn for America" website, please do so as soon as possible. You may contact the council and ask for Barbara to ask for assistance or you may contact me at 325-277-7189. I will be more than happy to assist you in getting your Unit registered..

The Good Turn for America website was created to help your unit keep track of and report Unit Service hours and projects. It is important that our scout's service hours are acknowledged..

For further information, you may email or call the council office at 325-655-7107 or 800-321-7107 or bsa741@bsamail.org.

Summer Camp for Boy Scouts is just around the corner! We offer three distinct programs for your Boy Scouts each week of camp:

In addition scouts will take and complete all requirements for the First Aid merit badge and Swimming merit badge. Trailblazer scouts will also hike to the old Fort McKavett site and spend the night at the site as a part of their activities. Our Trailblazer program is wonderful way for a beginning scout to begin their Boy Scout camping experience.

Scouts can take a total of six merit badge classes daily. In addition activities are offered before breakfast and in the evening. These include snorkeling, mile swim, polar bear swim, muzzleloading, rappelling, kayaking, and troop swims.

Wallace is our new director and promises each scout in this program will have a very active and fun week.
