In November Recharters will be ready for handout.  I will begin to schedule meetings with Unit Leaders and Chartered Organizations so we may complete these on time. All Unit Commissioners should begin to ensure that all rosters for their units are current and updated to eliminate down time.  Thank you all for another great year of Scouting!  Recharters: Due December 15, 2008
    
Upcoming Events:  As the 2008-year surpasses us and the New Year draws near so do some of our Annual Events.  Be sure to begin planning early for the following occurring in the first few months of the New Year:

*Permian Basin Roundtable* - - - With so much distance between some of our District communities it has made it inconvenient to have roundtables.  However, with a new device purchased by the council this year it has made it possible to have Roundtables via phone conference.

• What is a roundtable?  Roundtables are a form of commissioner service and supplemental training for volunteers at the pack level.  The objective of roundtables is to give pack leaders program ideas; information on policy, events and training opportunities and an opportunity to share experience and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Cub Scouting Leaders.  The Roundtables experience will inspire, motivate, and enable unit leaders to provide a stronger program for their Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts.

• When will we have roundtables? Roundtables will be scheduled on Thursday evenings.  These will last approximately an hour.  We will have one roundtable a month on the 2nd Thursday of the month.

• How do I sign up?  If you are interested in joining roundtables please submit an email to and list in the subject line "Roundtables".  Be sure to list a phone number or phone numbers where you can be reached on the night of roundtable so we can conference you in. If you submit an email address, we can email you an agenda prior to our roundtable.  Please be sure to indicate your title and the unit you are with.  You will receive a reply within a few days and be instructed on the first roundtable meeting.
