New District Executive
Beginning August 18th, the Amangi Trail District of the Concho Valley Council will be welcoming a New District Executive.  His name is Jim Bright.  He and his wife have lived in San Angelo a long time. He has been a Scoutmaster and is currently a registered member of our Council.  We look forward to having Jim involved with CVCBSA.  One of his priorities will be to meet each and everyone of you in the first several weeks while on the job.



A Pinewood Derby Committee will be organized for the Amangi Trail District Pinewood Derby on March 28th. If you would like to help plan this event, please call or email Devin Koehler or the New District Executive at the Council Office.  We will have our first Committee Meeting in September.

Jamboree on the Air - JOTA
The Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is an annual Scouting and amateur radio event. If the conditions are right, it is common to contact a hundred Scouting countries during the weekend. Many districts and councils hold events that coincide with JOTA, where amateurs set up stations giving Scouts and leaders a chance to exchange greetings with Scouts from other areas. Details will be emailed and put on the website for the local activities.
