Leave no Trace – Outdoor Ethics Boy Scout Camporee is coming up on April 20th – 22nd at San Angelo State Park. Scout will be able to take part in a Leave no Trace workshop and conservation project, working with Texas Parks and Wildlife leadership. Early registration ends April 5th. Final registration ends 4/16/12.

Family Friends of Scouting presentations have begun. Please take a moment to schedule the presentation time for your unit if you have not already had a presentation. Family FOS is an opportunity for our Council to provide a better program to more youth. Please let me know as soon as your unit has scheduled a time for the presentation.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) and Outdoor WEBELOs Leader Skills (OWLS) trainings will be offered April 27th & 28th at Baden-Powell Park.
IOLS is required training for all Scoutmasters and Assistants, Venturing Crew Advisors and Assistants. OWLS is recommended for any Cub Scout leaders for training in outdoor skills.
There will be a $10 fee for either course to cover food. Registration is now open at the council office, or by mail with the registration form.
